Los Angeles based producer City Lights is no stranger to unconventionality, as his debut album "Night Owls" proves. Largely influenced by 60's psychedelia and early deep house, City Lights creates a euphoric oceanside ambiance like no other. "Act II" and "The Coast" relish in seafront lucidity and evoke all the sensations you'd expect from a weekend getaway. Likewise "De Carlo" and "1962" drip with retro warmth, highlighting City Lights' esteem for timelessness and nostalgia. "London Eye" brings a bit of dimensionality to the album with it's slowed down groove and spacey synths. The final track in the collection, "Actor's Muse", swells with tension adding to the cinematic quality of the music.
